Privacy policy
Edisun Power takes the protection of personal data very seriously. For this reason, we would like to inform you in the following which data we store and how we use it.
Personal data
Personal data is defined as all information relating to an identified or identifiable (natural or legal) person. This includes information such as first name and surname, title, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and similar details.
Collection and storage of personal data
a) External website
On our website you can register for the delivery of media releases and newsletters. Personal data is collected and stored during registration.
b) Internal EDP systems
The following personal data is stored on our internal EDP systems:
- Edisun Power share register with personal data including details of shareholdings and changes in holdings
- Edisun Power Subscription lists of all bonds with personal and subscription data incl. IBAN numbers
- Personal data of interested parties for bond issues
- Application documents from former and current employees
- Personal data of employees, suppliers and business partners
- Personal data in connection with the construction, purchase or operation of the PV installations, such as data of the commissioned companies and service providers, the land or roof owners or the caretakers.
The data stored on our internal EDP systems is in no way connected to our website, so the risk of access to this data via the website is excluded.
Use and disclosure of personal data
By providing personal data, you agree that Edisun Power and Edisun Power Group companies may use your personal data for the following purposes:
- For the fulfilment and handling of contractual or legal obligations, such as interest and/or capital repayments.
- For orders, the use of offers, invoicing, etc.
- On the development and maintenance of shareholder and bondholder relationships
- For the design and improvement of offers and services
- For the delivery of media releases, newsletters, AGM invitations and subscription documents for newly issued bonds
- For optimum operation of PV installations
To this extent, Edisun Power may also have personal data processed by third parties, e.g. for personal mailings for new bonds, for AGM invitations (e.g. printers, service providers for electronic voting, independent proxies), for the operation of PV installations or for maintaining the share register. Edisun Power ensures that data security is always guaranteed.
Impersonal usage data
When web pages are used, the web servers register impersonal usage data in so-called log files. These log files contain the IP address of the current session, the last page visited, the browser used, the date, the time and the requested file or website. Edisun Power does not evaluate this non-personal usage data.
Cookies
Cookies are used on the web pages. A cookie is a short text file that is stored on your device and is used to analyze the use of a website and to store settings between visits. The cookies do not contain any personal data.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically. However, you are free to set your browser so that cookies are generally rejected by selecting "do not accept cookies" in your browser settings. In this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of the website.
Links to other websites
The Edisun Power website contains links to third-party websites. As soon as you click on them, you leave Edisun Power's sphere of influence. Edisun Power accepts no responsibility for the content or legal status of external websites to which there is a link.
Data security
Edisun Power operates data networks that comply with the applicable technical standards. Appropriate technical and organizational precautions are taken to protect your personal data – whether in electronic or paper form – conscientiously from loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation or unauthorized access.
Shareholder, bondholder and administrative data are located at Edisun Power Europe AG in Zurich. All electronic data – except e-mail data – is stored on a separate server in the premises used by the company itself. E-mail data is stored by an external service provider. Personal data in connection with our PV installations is stored either at the Zurich site or by the external service providers.
Right to information
You have the right to know free of charge whether and what personal data Edisun Power stores about you. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect information or have your details deleted completely. Legal storage obligations remain reserved.
