Solid performance despite headwinds

  • Record in solar power production of 86’270 MWh (+34.0%) thanks to the latest solar plant Betty 
  • Revenues constant at CHF 9.23 million (+2.0% in local currency) 
  • EBITDA CHF 6.71 million (-1.0% in local currency) with 72.7% over target of 70% 
  • New five-year bond with 3.25% interest as of 1st of November 2023 

In the first half of the year the sales remained constant compared to sales in the same period of the previous year. The EBITDA margin of 72.7% was above the medium-term target of 70%. Net profit decreased to CHF 2.21 million as a result of lower electricity prices and lower currency gains as well as new regulations in Spain and Germany...

Annual General Meeting 2023:
Edisun Power shareholders approve all proposals of the Board of Directors to the Annual General Meeting 2023 

The Annual General Meeting of Edisun Power Europe AG took place on Friday, April 21, 2023. All proposals of the Board of Directors were approved by a large majority. The General Meeting was attended by a total of 67 shareholders who, together with the independent proxy, represented 72.9% of the voting share capital. 

Horst H. Mahmoudi (Chairman), Fulvio Micheletti, Reto Klotz, José-Luis Chorro López and Marc Klingelfuss were re-elected to the Board of Directors for a further term of office of one year.

2022 annual result:
Record result with good growth prospects

  • Sales increase of 10.5% to CHF 18.97 million (in local currency + 17.2%)
  • EBITDA up by 8.5% to CHF 14.15 million and 74.6% margin
  • Thanks to additional currency gains, net profit more than doubled to CHF 10.23 million
  • Proposed dividend increase of 45.5% to CHF 1.60/share

2022 was a record year for Edisun Power in various respects: financially, new record values were achieved throughout, and in terms of production, the connection of the second large-scale Portuguese plant "Betty" (23.4 MW) in November increased future solar power production by around 28%. The Board of Directors recommends to the Annual General Meeting the distribution of an increased dividend of CHF 1.60 per share compared to CHF 1.10 in previous years. The main focus for Edisun Power is the further development and construction of over 300 MW of the pipeline and its financing by means of, among others, the sale of developed project rights.
